Introducing the Dia-Verge  series

To the “Verge of Perfection” is the destination of the new product line from Molemab. The Diaverge series has been developed not just for general PCD grinding but for near-perfect edge generation on PCD tools.  V for vitrified and Verge indicating close to edge perfection measured in microns, the Dia-verge series is also symbolic of a product that diverges from the standard product. The Dia-Verge  series is Molemab’s answer the to the requirement for a high performance grinding wheel  in one of the fastest growing toolmarkets in recent years .

The utmost care has been given to the selection of diamond quality for this application. Not only is the grit quality of importance but also the grit shape and size distribution is crytical for the manufacture of these top quality PCD grinding wheels. Grinding wheel manufacture with micron size grits has special requirements and maintaining cutting capacity in the finished grinding wheel is the challenge. However in the DiaVerge series these issues have been resolved leading to fine-sized grinding wheels with dramatic cutting –ability.
Tool-Life is very important is modern machining proceses and in the case of PCD tools , tool life is directly dependant on the PCD edge quality. Excessive grit sizes can lead to edge chipping which in turn reduces tool life.

OD grinding of PCD tools is also not without certain challenges. In this case  requirements are again for an optimum PCD edge quality but while overcomming a heavily interupted cut on a workpiece that can deflect.
The Diaverge series has also proven itself on this application even with grit sizes under 10 microns.
